Put pressure on your Ward Counsellors, your municipalities and your metro police to act and enforce bylaws and laws regarding illegal sale of fireworks. YOU ARE SOMEONE. YOU CAN DO SOMETHING.

Our advocate and attorneys who have been instrumental in guiding us. The amazing behaviourists who have joined forces with us to start education. Our PRO company who boldly stepped up to join our fight. You are all true heroes. The PBFSA thanks you and appreciates you.

You do not need to give up your pit bull! There is no law that makes it illegal to own a Pit Bull! If your dog is well managed and not caged, if it poses no threat to society, and you love your dog YOU MAY KEEP YOUR DOG! If you or your dog are being threatened, the SAPS and SPCA need to be contacted and they must enforce the laws.

We need to stress that any kind of camera and film crew and situation is very stressful on a dog and this should only be done with a dog who is familiar with a tv shoot set up and owners need to be aware of when their dog is becoming overwhelmed. Acknowledge and accept who they are not. Never gamble with lives. You can never outrun genetics. Understand just because your pit bull is great does not make all of them great. Emotions have no place when important decisions must be made. Sometimes you just cannot fix the most broken.

In every interview we are asked why attacks are on increase, you are all wanting someone to be angry with, well here are the people who brought us to this point. You as responsible owners and lovers of the pit bull need to take a stand now for your dogs. Our law enforcement, municipalities and our justice system gave those mentioned in the posters a get out of jail free card by not enforcing the law. Children died. Dogs became targets. We will soon need you all to add your voices to our fight. Together we can stop this. It is not societies duty, it is ours as pit bull owners and guardians of our breed.

You are not a dog. These old outdated theories and methods are dangerous and damaging to your dog. You do not need to “dominate”. You do not need to be a “pack leader”.

Sensation sells ~ how your perceived activism is harming your dogs future. Sensational posts have garnered huge shares. Educational posts that will prevent the breed being in the media are cold or luke warm. STOP FEEDING THE MONSTER. START ADVOCATING FOR YOUR PIT BULL AND ALL PIT BULLS. BE RESPONSIBLE.
